About This One

Blog

Non-seasonal greetings.

You’re perusing my musings on music, technology and life. How very fortuitous of you. I write for CNET.co.uk and present the weekly music show ‘Encoded‘ on CNET TV. When I’m not penning hate for things that infuriate me in the technology sector, I can be found writing and recording music on the drums and piano — my two instruments of choice. I can also play the didgeridoo to a less-than-moderate extent, though that’s a fact people seldom discover.

I live for technology and music, and the more often the two combine together, the better. I’ve played drums and loved music since being 5 years old, and was promised a full drum kit when I was 8 as long as I “promise not to turn it into a machine.” Apparently I’ve never wanted anything more than music and technology.

I gained notable mentions in CNET awards for being ‘Alpha Male’ of the year, and ‘Glamourpuss’ of the year, in 2007. This, along with the above, probably tells you enough about me to be going on with.

Should it not, feel free to stop by my Facebook page, Encoded’s MySpace, my blog on CNET, my photos on Flickr or my YouTube channel.

Peace love and empathy,

Nate
