Recordings: Nate & Pandy - Things Can Only Get More Beautiful Now

Not only is this the oldest song Pandy and I recorded, it’s also the only one recorded that I wrote entirely, and it’s the only one on which I play both piano and drums.

It has a hell of a lot of personal feeling inside it, and after many years, I’ve decided to release this song online. It was recorded in a room at about 4am, except the drums, which I recorded the following day.

Two versions exist: the full band recording, featuring myself on piano and drums, Pandy on all guitars; and just the piano track, which I had previously recorded. Both are available here as MP3s. I hope you enjoy them.

Note: these were recorded by us prior to our investment in complete studio equipment. You won’t miss that it sounds far more lo-fi than The Absinthe Tapes. Hopefully we’ll re-record later this year, but there’s historic value in retaining this demo version.
